2. Ask!

When I first met the kids, it was (to be completely honest) quite chaotic. Although I taught at a primary school for service learning, teaching these children was a completely different experience. I didn't know how to control them or how to make sure they were listening to me. One thing I found really useful was to ask the teachers for advice, or to at least ask for help when the students really aren't paying attention. They do this every day, so make sure to make use of your resources as much as possible.
