PLANNING!

After a couple of tutorials we started to plan our own games. Some of the students wanted to upgrade a tutorial game, which was great! This time we tried a different approach of planning - instead of getting them to use a piece of paper and write everything on it, we let them talk us through their idea and got them started right away. Most of the time, while the students were explaining their idea to us they felt something wasn't quite right, and fixed it as they went along their explanation.

Looking back I think that this method helped us to reduce planning time and let the students have more of a hands-on experience. If they had problems they would ask for one of us and we would go to them and help them out. More to come about the creating stage soon!
